Lets check out this next Dudley's Dungeon from the Generic Newt(kinds of) small animal, like a lizard, which spends most of
its time in the water.

Also, the portrayal of ray spells typically depicts the ray (-----) as well.

stormy: Yeah, you can switch it off. It speeds things up in the late game when big masses of monsters appear and spells start flying all over.
