Well done Geko! That would make NetHack so much easier. I haven't ascended yet :) Shouldn't there be money in several places rather than one?

I didn't know you can turn an floating eyeFloating eyes, not surprisingly, are large, floating eyeballs
which drift about the dungeon. Though not dangerous in and
of themselves, their power to paralyse those who gaze at
their large eye in combat is widely feared. Many are the
tales of those who struck a floating eye, were paralysed by
its mystic powers, and then nibbled to death by some other
creature that lurked around nearby.

metal used as a common commercial medium of exchange. Symbol,
Au; at. no. 79; at. wt. 197.2. It is the most malleable
and ductile of all metals, and very heavy (sp. gr., 19.3).
It is quite unalterable by heat, moisture, and most
corrosive agents, and therefore well suited for its use in
coin and jewelry.

You need to have some experience and a broad perspective on life to get half the jokes here (in addition to some Nethack knowledge). Clearly you lack both of the above.
Not that I have a clue about SMB so this went <poof> on
me ;-)

This one is a joke about the game Super Mario 64 for the N64. There are floating eyes in the game and if you made them dizzy (by running around them many times) they would explode and give you a coin or two. There wasn't any other way to kill them. Good one Geko.

coins, without any cheats. That lovely warm feeling of finishing something.
And then I remember NetHack, and my 57436 vain attempts.

The SA goons actually got past one of the quizzes? I'm not sure whether I should be impressed or frightened.

Took me a second to get it, but it brings back good memories... SM64 was an awesome game!
Still have yet to get past DL 11 in Nethack, alas...

never found a wand of'Saruman!' he cried, and his voice grew in power and authority.
'Behold, I am not Gandalf the Grey, whom you betrayed. I am
Gandalf the White, who has returned from death. You have no
colour now, and I cast you from the order and from the Council.'
He raised his hand, and spoke slowly in a clear cold voice.
'Saruman, your staff is broken.' There was a crack, and the
staff split asunder in Saruman's hand, and the head of it
fell down at Gandalf's feet. 'Go!' said Gandalf. With a cry
Saruman fell back and crawled away.

You jump on the koopa! You kill the koopa! U- A koopa shell. Apply U- koopa shell. You jump on the koopa shell and it bounces off the wall in front of you. You died. Would you like your posessions identified? (The U was just a random letter. I know not what it really means.)

They're not called floating eyes in Super Mario 64, they're Mr. I's, and they drop a blue coin (worth five) if you kill them.

Probably just because I'm a Nintendo geek.
