Oh yes yes I fell for it. I fell for it even after reading a few billion other online comics that did strange things because it was april fools day. And you know what. I didn't even suspect it. I just thought darn I just downloaded 3.4.3 two days ago and now I need to down load a new version.

Yea. I checked too. I've had 3.4.3 for ages and I'm waiting and expect a new release any day too. While I'm here I'll just say that this comic rocks. :o)

Well considering that I found out about this comic when I downloaded 3.4.3 it seemed to good to be true that I found a webOh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!

pageThese strange creatures live mostly on the surface of the
earth, gathering together in societies of various forms, but
occasionally a stray will descend into the depths and commit
mayhem among the dungeon residents who, naturally, often
resent the intrusion of such beasts. They are capable of
using weapons and magic, and it is even rumored that the
Wizard of Yendor is a member of this species.

nethack-4.0 remains unavailable. This reduces much my rating of this strip.

I think it's actually kind of subtle, but I like it.

Cool, sorta.

But just what are the 5 and 6?

the 5 is 'a monster causing you dread'. seen by wearing a ring ofThree Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

I fell for this and went to nethack.org - but then again, it was nowhere near April when I read it, and it had been a very long time since I checked the Nethack website.
