Our contestants today are Dudley and Rodney.
You ante up 500 goldA metal of characteristic yellow colour, the most precious
metal used as a common commercial medium of exchange. Symbol,
Au; at. no. 79; at. wt. 197.2. It is the most malleable
and ductile of all metals, and very heavy (sp. gr., 19.3).
It is quite unalterable by heat, moisture, and most
corrosive agents, and therefore well suited for its use in
coin and jewelry.

Unfortunately, Elbereth... Even as they stepped over the threshold a single clear
voice rose in song.

        A Elbereth Gilthoniel,
        silivren penna miriel
        o menel aglar elenath!
        Na-chaered palan-diriel
        o galadhremmin ennorath,
        Fanuilos, le linnathon
        nef aear, si nef aearon!

Frodo halted for a moment, looking back. Elrond was in his
chair and the fire was on his face like summer-light upon the
trees. Near him sat the Lady Arwen. [...]
He stood still enchanted, while the sweet syllables of the
elvish song fell like clear jewels of blended word and melody.
"It is a song to Elbereth," said Bilbo. "They will sing that,
and other songs of the Blessed Realm, many times tonight.
Come on!"

Using the symbols in the above comic, we observe that clubs are weapons, diamonds are gems and spades are tools (like pick-axes). Would hearts be comestibles?

Oh, and I couldn't figure out how to represent hearts using legitimate game symbols, so I reused clubs. But food might have worked. Looking at it now, it could be confusing as which one is Rodney (on the right) and Dudley (on the left).

Blackjack is the only card game I am good at, and that's only because it involves counting and nothing else.
