If you don't understand it, it's probably because you're more familiar with the term "chain letter" than "chain mail". There, that should help you.

P.S. Is it just me, or am I getting promted for the symbol for goldA metal of characteristic yellow colour, the most precious
metal used as a common commercial medium of exchange. Symbol,
