If anyone wants to do the panels for the thing I posted Feb. 1 (Yeldud encounter) you're free to send it in. you can also make a few changes if you want. Just credit me as the original creator.
I'm very glad Dudley is back. Thank you, Dion!!! |

Whew! Ok, first I move this daily bookmark to weekly...
Hope you all don't go away either as on certain days half the comic was the comments ;-).
Dion, you know the hits for your site. Would be interesting to know how many that "last" ascension post generated. DOH, stupid me, says 2583 right down there in the corner lol. That's a lot, even if it would take "reloads".
And boy, doing something for a long long time and needing a break (or quitting altogether) is such a familiar feeling I wish you the best of luck...

Alive! Joy to the world.
Ah, I shall wait a week or so
before you guys send in a million
posts and then I shall send my brilliant
idea. By the way, Senor "Against the Quiz",
it's not that hard a test is it? |

The "quiz" is good. It keeps out prospective trolls (but, regrettably, not newts like JMesh).
I'm a NetHack beginner (never got past level 6) and sometimes have to refresh the a few times before I get a question I can answer. I've never seen an opulent and often get chests and weapons mixed up but the -proofness makes the slight inconvenience worth it. |

It's only a hard test if you don't play nethack enough. It's OK, you'll soon be pulled in. And I'm certainly pleased that we have an explanation for why they stopped Tuesday, that could have been the next 'net conspiracy :) |

AGAINST QUIZ: If you're so pissed off about the quiz, then don't post. I mean, what's the point in going through the agony of having to refresh ten times just to complain that you had to refresh that many times?
Anyway, this week is getting better and better! First, Enterprise was canceled (die, bastard, die!), and now, Dudley's back!
Well, sort of. At least he's not riding a gigantic with flaming nostrils anymore. :) |

AgainstQuiz: I guess you weren't here for the big somethingawful.com OLOLOL!!!1! t3H s1TE sUXXxxXxx!!!1!1!!11!one! explosion or else you wouldn't be so down on the quiz. If you're having trouble, explore mode is just a keypress away in Nethack, that'll let you live long enough to see everything.
Luinegaladh: Nice to know I'm not the only one celebrating. I watched only two episodes of that temporal chroniton-infested crapathon, and then I had to a lot of TOS so I wouldn't feel dirty anymore. Will Rick Berman even accept any plots that don't involve time anymore? Voyager was all time all the time, and then Boobyprize was only worse. I like my generic space nazi plots without the chronitons, please!
Hmm. I should try reviving the Star Trek patch sometime and add a Rick Berman monster so I can kill it in righteous vengeance. |

Mantar: Heh, I like Voyager. :P It's my all-time favorite ST series; sure, most of the acting sucks, but it's philosophical enough for me, yet enough for easy explaining to 'danes. Not sure what it is... Let's just say--for lack of a more substantial term--that it's easier to relate to Voyager than any other series. shrug
Just my $0.02. :D
Beowulf: Dion took the louts' comments out. Which is fortunate, as I didn't want to have to download a meg's worth (or unworth, as was the case) of comments. |

Wait a minute AGAINST QUIZ, you've "been through every single comic in the archive" and yet you complain about refreshing the 10 times? If you paid attention to the panels you should be able to answer the questions without too much trouble. And how much time did you spend reading the archives? 2 hours at least would be my guess. It took you 5 minutes at the most to find a question you could answer and you complain? |

and i am very glad the dungeon will continue to grow
it doesnt matter to me whether the updates are daily or less often
as long as they continue i will continue to enjoy them |

Well, welcome aboard maheshjr2000!
"space-man": Voyager was a decent Trek. Sure, I rolled my eyes through the warp 11 episode, the "Tuvix" gimmick, and all the 'temporal this-or-that' episodes, but I still watched. When it was good, it was good. Enterprise, well, that's another story. Heh.

Oh, asterisks make things bold... Woah, I just got the quiz that asks what a is, and I never really noticed for all the hundreds I've drunken from, so I opened a game of NetHack to see. Can you even make that symbol on a keyboard? It's like an upside down umbrella pole... Without the dot... By the way, I use the option IBMgraphics, if that helps. |
