P - a wand of'Saruman!' he cried, and his voice grew in power and authority.
'Behold, I am not Gandalf the Grey, whom you betrayed. I am
Gandalf the White, who has returned from death. You have no
colour now, and I cast you from the order and from the Council.'
He raised his hand, and spoke slowly in a clear cold voice.
'Saruman, your staff is broken.' There was a crack, and the
staff split asunder in Saruman's hand, and the head of it
fell down at Gandalf's feet. 'Go!' said Gandalf. With a cry
Saruman fell back and crawled away.

You exit the orangeWhat was the fruit like? Unfortunately, no one can describe
a taste. All I can say is that, compared with those fruits,
the freshest grapefruit you've ever eaten was dull, and the
juiciest orange was dry, and the most melting pear was hard
and woody, and the sweetest wild strawberry was sour. And
there were no seeds or stones, and no wasps. If you had once
eaten that fruit, all the nicest things in this world would
taste like medicines after it. But I can't describe it. You
can't find out what it is like unless you can get to that
country and taste it for yourself.

I get the reference, but I still find it a bit too obscure. On the other hand, that's an interesting analogy for a loadstone. G.

I don't get it. What is 'Q'? What is a 'companion'? Is it something to do with one of these movies or TV shows that I've never seen? Or a game perhaps (maybe that PortalPortals can be Mirrors, Pictures, Standing Stones, Stone
Circles, Windows, and special gates set up for the purpose.

Fairly bland but well-polished execution of an obscure reference. Rated Good.

Okay, granted, it's not all that obscure, since it's a (computer?) game that's going around these days--I haven't even played it and I've heard enough references to the weighted companion cube, the portalPortals can be Mirrors, Pictures, Standing Stones, Stone
Circles, Windows, and special gates set up for the purpose.

mechanic, GLaDOS, and the cake being a lie, to make me crazy.

Okay, only mildly crazy. Halo still annoys me about the same as much, as does Counterstrike (although that's fallen out of popularity in recent years).

I'm giving it an M, because this is not a joke, and because Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube (one of the best video game characters, bz the way) is pink, not gray.

The joke is the fact that he's realizing just where he is and what he's gonna have to deal with. Honestly, I see this one with some potential for some chain comics.

@T-Jack:

The Weighted Companion Cube is neither fully gray nor fully pink - it's a combination of both. A 'pink and gray' cube would have been preferable, but of the two gray is more accurate.

Fair. It's more of a juxtaposition than a joke (like... mostly everyone has said) and therefore not all that funny.
