"Flees in terror" is a reference to Angband; is that not so? |

Erm, This one is really obscure. And I don't see what it has to do with Prometheus, except for the . You really should put a note underneath it to explain. Also, it is not clear what the food ration is spilling out of. The ?
I'd rate it terrible, but I will almost certainly change my mind when I get the joke. |

It's possible the food ration could be a reference to Prometheus' liver, but that is pretty tenuous ('d be better), doesn't explain the , and there's no B around.
I think the last panel is the key one here. Rate for post-ironic humour, ladies and germs! |

Oh for the love of...
1 - This comic has no references whatsoever. Any thing that resembles a reference is either a) a coincidence or b) my poor memory of Nethack having not played it for a while at the time I wrote this comic.
2 - The whole point is that the first three panels are so random that any punchline would be so ridiculous that it would fear being heard. Yes, it's very stupid, but for some reason I found it rather amusing.
3 - I haven't actually left any comments in ages. I should do that more. |

I totally missed the Prometheus bit. Maybe if he being attacked by a bird instead of a . Instead, I took 'p' to stand for 'pinata,' which covered the food spilling out, in my mind. |

Why is the punchline a ? Does it pierce the comic and make plot holes? |

oops - my random association. I was thinking p was a , for some reason. and the @ is next to a post and his liver is regenerating. but then i looked up the myth and it should have been an eagle and the hero should have been tied, not blindfolded. |

Well, let's see. His that heals him is cursed, he's blind, and he's losing his food. I guess that's funny enough!
Thus, I rated it Gee. |

Yes.
(though the commente deserved to be just like that, i need to add: come one, it's not THAT hard to understand. I got it at first. I feel somethime people are just stuck in the present a stituation - develop it logically - end with an easy-to-understand punchline. It's like only hearing music with the part1-chorus-part2-chorus-bridge-chorus struture! So YES you're being shortsighted. Voted Excellent.) |

The first three panels is the warmup for the joke. It's so random that any punchline would be horribly absurd, so the punchline flees in terror in fear of the joke.
Also, 'p' is the first letter of 'punchline'. |

I wish someone would delete Grognor's comments. It's not as if he does anything other than whine, preen himself, and generally the place. |
